The Association of Energy Engineers provides information on energy management, energy generation, sustainability, and other related fields. The organization also provides a valuable networking for energy professions to collaborate on both national and regional energy issues.

The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) is an international organization widely considered the authoritative entity on all things HVAC/R. ASHRAE fulfills its mission of advancing heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration to serve humanity and promote a sustainable world through research, standards writing, publishing and continuing education.

The Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) is a primary source of information on office building development, leasing, building operating costs, energy consumption patterns, local and national building codes, legislation, occupancy statistics and technological developments.

Energy Star for Buildings & Plants
The Department of Energy and the Environmental Protection Agency award Energy Star Certification to commercial buildings and plants whose energy performance is in the top 25% when compared to buildings of similar use, size, and geographical location.

The Green Building Alliance (GBA) is a non-profit organization that advances economic prosperity and human well being in Western Pennsylvania by driving market demand for green buildings and green building products.

GBA Emerging Professionals
The Emerging Professionals is a network within the Green Building Alliance targeted for people who have recently entered the Green Building field. The newly formed group provides emerging green professionals with the opportunity to network with one another and discuss current, regional sustainability topics.
